Autonomous UAV

The ultimate goal of this project is to build an Autonomous UAV that can Launch, Fly, Land autonomously with its path and landing area predesignated by the user.

Status:

 

Alternate designs have been constructed to create a more stable and aerodynamic plane

Arduino Code has been writen to receive signal from receiver (Which is getting signal from transmitter) and and change the servo angle accordingly.

Two airfoils have been cut from insulation foam which is lightweight but durable material. The airfoil was cut using a custom made hot wire cutter made from wood, kanthal wire and power source. The Airfoil was covered in packaging tape to increase smoothness.

 

The Control Surfaces were created with a combination of servos, wire, and control horns.
